Single Seated Globe                                                                                                                                              Open

Series 10-Single Seated Designs

Sizes : 1.2 “ to 12 ” (15mm to 300mm)
Ratings : ASME 150-600

Why Choose a Series 10/71 Valve?
High flow capacity.
Tight shut-off.
Excellent flow control rangeability.
Excellent flow pressure control of very low flow rates.
Cast body proportioned to withstand high pipe stresses without distortion.

Features:
Heavy top-guided valve, with no bottom guide to obstruct seat bore and potentially trap debris.
Trim options: Contoured, microspline and multi-spline (2,3,5 stages)
All trim components are removable from the top.
Large range of trim CVs per valve size.

Trim Designs:
Contoured trim: Used in the majority of applications, this trim is most suited to low pressure-drop applications. The contoured plug has a specially profiled plug head, which offers a smooth profile to the flow and permits a high-pressure recovery.

Soft-faced contoured trim: Used in applications where bubble-tight shut-off is required. The plug features a clamped-on shroud which locks the soft-faced ring in position, ensuring a high degree of closure. Microspline trim: This is an ideal choice for very low flow rates. The seat-guided construction is capable of handling high pressure drops without instability. This trim design has excellent rangeability, since the plug and trim are designed as matched pairs to give a ‘gravity slide fit’.

Multi-stage microspline trim: Used for very high pressure-drop applications or where there is the potential for cavitation. Two, three and five-stage designs are available, depending on the pressure drop and cavitation potential. For very high pressure drops in excess of 100 bar the plug and seat insert can be manufactured from tungsten carbide or advanced ceramic material.

Double Seated Globe                                                                                                                                                                                     Open

Series 20-Double Seated Designs

The double-seated plug is inherently balanced, enabling economic actuation of larger valves. The Series 20
is ideal for medium and low-pressure applications, where tight shut off is not essential. For high-capacity
applications with high pressure drops, the valve can be fitted with a High Friction (HF) style trim.

Sizes : 1.5 “ to 24 ” (40mm to 600mm)
Ratings : ASME 150-600

Why Choose a Series 20 Valve?
High flow capacity.
Minimum differential plug areas to reduce actuator force requirements.
Excellent flow control rangeability.
Cast body proportioned to withstand high pipe stresses without distortion.

Features:
Top and bottom guided.
Trim options: Contoured, HF, low noise, anti-cavitation.
Low unbalance area for each valve size.

Trim Designs:
Contoured trim: Used in the majority of applications, this trim is most suited to low pressure-drop applications. The contoured plug has a specially profiled plug head, which offers a smooth profile to the flow and permits a high pressure recovery.

High Friction high-capacity trim: Developed for higher pressure-drop applications where high capacity flows are required. High Friction (HF) style extended seat rings ensure low pressure recoveries. This trim is ideal for preventing the onset of cavitation and reducing noise levels from liquid or gas flows.

3-way Mixing and Diverting                                                                                                                                                               Open

Series 30,31,32-Three-way Mixing and Diverting

When flowed in reverse it can be used for splitting flows. The Series 31 valve is used for flow splitting, with a
body design based on the Series 20 valve. It features one inlet and two outlets, with an inherently balanced
plug. The Series 32 valve is based on a cage-guided balanced plug design and is used for proportional
splitting of flows where there would otherwise be high unbalanced forces acting on the plug. The flow is from
under the valve and is diverted through the straight outlet connections.

Sizes :1.5 “to 12 ” (40m9m to 300mm)
Ratings : ASME 150-600

Why Choose a Three-Way Valve?
For proportional splitting or mixing of flows.
High flow capacity.
Balanced trim construction allows for high flow rates while the actuator size is kept to a minimum.
Minimum differential plug areas to reduce actuator force requirements (Series 31 and 32 valves).
Excellent flow control rangeability.

Features:
Top-guided plug with additional skirt guiding through the seat rings - effective on both seats.
Trim design is either ported or High Friction (HF).
Most components serviceable from the top.
Choice of trim sizes available.

Trim Designs:
Series 30A - Mixing (blending) service: When used for mixing, the Series 30 valve has two separate inlets and one common outlet. Flows are proportionally blended into one stream by control of the valve plug position. The standard plug is a linear ‘V’ port design providing a high flow capacity and high rangeability.

Series 30B - Splitting (diverting) service: When flowed in reverse the series 30 valve can be used for splitting the flows. Here, the valve has one common inlet and the flow is split proportionally between the two outlets. The total outlet capacity is constant, irrespective of the plug position.

Series 31 - Splitting (diverting) service: Based on the Series 20 design, the Series 31 valve has an additional body rib inserted to separate the flows. The under/over flow regime means the plug is inherently balanced, so that the valve requires a smaller actuator than an equivalent Series 30 valve.

Series 32 - Splitting (diverting) service: Based on the Series 10 body casting, the Series 32 valve has a bottom flange fitted to the base of the body as an inlet connection. The trim is cage guided with a balanced plug. Depending on the plug position, flow is proportionally directed to the left or right-hand outlet.
